Thanks to Owner-Manuals.com! This manual was exactly what I needed. As Amana was purchased by Maytag and later by Whirlpool, there was no way to receive it from their websites. I was lucky to find this resource.

5. Turn the Load Size Selector to the setting that corresponds with the size of the wash load and the type of fabric being washed. (See pages 12-13.) l Select any of five load sizes: Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. l To change the load size setting after the washer has stat-ted to fill, turn the Selector to the desired new setting. 6. Turn the Water Temperature Selector to the setting that corresponds with the type of fabric and soils being washed. l Select any of four wash-rinse water temperature combinations: hot-warm, hot-cold, warm-cold, and cold-cold. l The top temperature is the wash water and the bottom temperature is the rinse water. l See page 14 for water temperature guidelines. 7. (OPTIONAL STEP) If desired, set the Extra Rinse Selector to On to add an additional rinse to the end of the wash cycle. . Use the extra rinse option when using extra detergent for the Super Wash cycle or for the Heavy, Permanent Press, or Knits/Gentle cycles. Extra rinse option is not offered in the Regular cycle. l Before a cycle starts, select Extra Rinse On. The washer automatically adds an extra rinse and spin to the cycle. l If you do not want an extra rinse and spin, or if you are using the Regular cycle, select Extra Rinse Off. 8. Push in and turn the Cycle Control Knob clockwise. Stop when the indicator on the outer ring points to the number in the wash cycle you want. l The numbers are minutes of wash time. l The cycles are described on pages 7-8.
