Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

Make sure appliance has power. Verify that circuit breaker is not tripped. Replace fuse but do not change fuse capacity.
NOISE
Frequent cycling off and on of surface units Cracking or popping sound Normal Normal Smoothtop burners cycle on and off to maintain proper heating temperature. Wet cooking utensils or possible spillage.
APPEARANCE
Gritty dirt or rough surface on cooking utensils Scratches Shiny scratches Dirt Discoloration Water spots/marks Use recommended smoothtop cleaner conditioner. May be a metal mark. Make sure surface is cool. Use safety scraper to carefully scrape off the mark. Apply smoothtop cleaner conditioner and gently rub with nonabrasive nylon pad. Use recommended smoothtop cleaner conditioner to remove dirt from smoothtop. Make sure surface is cool. Put a small amount of white vinegar on the spot and let sit for a few minutes. Rub with nonabrasive nylon pad. Wipe off any excess with damp paper towel. Allow cooktop to warm slightly. Using a safety scraper, gently remove soil. Follow with routine cleaning. Use recommended cleaner conditioner to remove build up and dirt from smoothtop.
