BEFORE CLEANING, BE CERTAIN ALL ELEMENTS ARE TURNED OFF AND THE COOKTOP IS COOL. CAUTION: Do NOT use a cooktop cleaner on a hot cooktop. The fumes can be hazardous to your health, and can chemically attack the glass-ceramic surface.

The cartridge does notneed to be removedfromthe cooktopfor normalcleaning. If removed,bottommay be wipedclean with damp cloth. If electricalterminals on cartridgeare cleaned, dry them thoroughly before using. For generaldailycleaning and lightsurface soil, use a clean dishcloth paper or towel and wash surface with solution of water and any of these cleansers: dishwashing liquidsuchas Ivoryor Joy, bakingsoda,fine polishing powderssuch as BonAmi,orcommemialceramiccooktop cleanserssuchas CooktopCleaning Creme (Part No. 20000001). Wipe with clean dampcloth or paper towel. Rinse and dry thoroughly. To removeresiduefrom burned on spills, use Bon Ami, Comet, ShinySinks or nonabrasivesoft scrubbingcleansers,such as CooktopCleaningCreme (Part No. 20000001). Scrub withpapertowels,nylonor plasticscrubber, uchas Tufty. s Rinse and dry thoroughly. If stain is not removed easily, allowpaste to remain on surface for 30 to 40 minutes. Keep moistby coveringwith wet paper towel. To removeburnedon spot,usea singleedge razorblade. Place bladeedge on cooktop at 30 ° angle; scrape off spot. Clean remainderof soil with method describedabove.

Use correct controlsettingsand cookwarelarge enoughto holdfood and liquid to prevent boiloversand spattering. If a bad spilloveroccurswhilecooking,spillsmay be cleanedfrom the cooktop while it is hotto preventa toughcleaningchorelater. Usingextreme care, wipe with a clean damptowel. Be carefulto avoidburnsfromsteam or handtouching the hot cooktop.
