Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

This is used to change the information shown in the display. This button is used to omit individual tracks from the programme or to delete the complete programme. This button is used to turn the function Repeat CD or CD programme on and off. This button is used to turn the shuffle function on and off, which mixes up the track order. ? OPEN/CLOSE This button is used to open and close the CD compartment.
Remote Control only CD 437
The buttons on the remote control have the same functions as the corresponding ones on the CD player. Extra buttons: 10-button keypad for the direct selection of tracks. If you wish to select a track number from 1�9 , briefly press the corresponding button. In the case of two-digit track numbers, first enter the first digit by keeping the corresponding button depressed. Then enter the second digit. 9 � Besides ending all functions this button can also be used to close the CD compartment.

Changing the batteries If the range of your infrared remote control seems to decrease, or if certain individual functions can no longer be carried out, you should replace the batteries. Two 1.5 Volt LR06 size AA are required. To change the batteries, open the compartment on the back of the remote control. Ensure that the batteries are inserted properly (note the markings in the compartment). And in the interest of the environment: Remember that batteries must always be disposed of properly.
General information
To remove a CD from its case, hold it on its outside edge with the index finger and thumb. Do not touch the surface of a CD with your fingers. Always store a CD in its case when it is not being used. Place a CD in its case with the label facing up and press down lightly. Do not leave CD's for any length of time in direct sunlight or other places where high temperatures may occur, such as in the vicinity of heating apparatus. Do not expose the CD's to humidity or rain.

Inserting a CD
Open the CD compartment by pressing ? Insert the CD so that the printed side of the disc is facing up. Place CD singles (8 cm) in the depression in the compartment.

Press ? again. The compartment closes. The CD compartment can also be closed by hand. After the compartment has closed, the unit reads the contents of the CD. Information on the number of tracks, playing length, etc. are recorded there. This information is shown in the display.
