5. Set the servrce swatch to the �Clean� posrtron and preheat the water system by pourrng hot water Into the reservorr pan until the lower pump housrng IS covered. Circulate the hot water for 5 minutes then set switch to Off�. to siphon water out of the reservoir pan Reset switch to Clean See Fig 6
Powdered citric acid is available from many drug stores or supply houses. MIX 113 cup of crystals to one quart of hot water. Ice machines with one (I) or two (2) freezing plates require 4 quarts of cleaner. Ice machines with 3 freezing plates require 5% yual-ts of cleaner. Commercial Ice machine cleaners are also available In liquid form and should be mIxed accordrng to instructions on the label These ice machine cleaners are avarlable through commercral refrigeration supply houses
WARNING: Most Ice machine cleaners are crtrrc or phosphorrc acid which can irritate even after drlutron In case of contact with eyes. flush eyes thoroughly with fresh water and contact a physician rmmedrately In case of contact wrth skrn rtnse well with water If swallowed. give large amounts of water and contact a physican lmmedrately Do not Induce vomrttrng KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

6. Slowly pour the hot mixed cleanrng solutron Into the reservoir pan. If the solutron foams stop pourrng untrl the foaming subsides and then contrnue pouring until the lower pump housing IS covered to circulate until the scale on the freezsystem parts has drssolved
Sanitizing
Solution-
Common laundry bleach mIxed at a ratro of � 1 oz to a gallon of water WIII make a samtiring solution of 100 ppm 2. If the machine IS operating A. Shut off the water sc~pply to the machine B. Remove the front panel of the ice maker
7. Allow the solution ing plates and water
and gently
raise up the arm of the ice thickness control C. Remove the Ice sheets from the freezing plate D. Place the service switch In the Off postron
8. When the plates are clean. place the service switch In the OFF postron This allows the cleaning solutron to srphon out of the reservoir pan tnto the drain
3. If the machrne IS not operating A. Place the servrce switch in the Clean posrtron allow the water reservoir pan to ref!lI B. Shut off the water supply to the machrne C. Place the servrce swatch In the Off posItIon

4. Remove all Ice from the storage brn and cutter grid If Ice IS difficult to remove from the grid wait untrl grid IS removed from the machrne and then melt the Ice off with water Pullrng the Ice slab off the grad may stretch or break grid wires which would cause the machine to malfunctron
