This is one of four manuals I have downloaded recently.
Purchase was very straight forward and the authorising email arrived in about 4 hours.
The quality of the scan is good. Print is clear and square to the page edges.

Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much...
But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings.
I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too!

Symptom Possible cause Remedy
The power cord is not connected. Can�t turn on the DVCP701? External interference is affecting the DVCP701�s digital circuitry. The wrong input source is selected on your TV. The video cable is not connected properly. The wrong input source is selected on your hi-� amp or AV receiver. The audio cable is not connected properly. No sound? The hi-� amp or AV receiver connected to the DV-CP701�s audio outputs is not on. The Digital Out setting is incorrect. The picture distorts occasionally? Picture instability or noise? The disc is dirty. You�re using the Fast Forward or Fast Reverse function.
Connect the power cord to a suitable wall outlet (page 20). Turn off the DV-CP701, wait �ve seconds, then try turning it on again. If that fails, disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, wait �ve seconds, reconnect it, then try turning it on again. On your TV, select the input to which the DVCP701 is connected (page 17). Check the video cable and correct as necessary (page 17). On your hi-� amp or AV receiver, select the input to which the DV-CP701 is connected (page 18). Check the audio cable and correct as necessary (page 18). Turn on the hi-� amp or AV receiver. Check the Digital Out setting and correct as necessary (page 41). Remove the disc and clean it (page 9). A little picture distortion may occur when using these functions. This is normal.
No picture?
The DV-CP701 is connected to your TV via Connect the DV-CP701 directly to your TV a VCR or other video equipment and its copy (page 17). protection system is affecting the picture. No discs loaded. The selected disc cannot be played because it�s incompatible. The disc is upside down. Load some discs (page 21). Load only compatible discs (page 7). Load the disc the correct way up (page 21). Place the disc in the center of the disc bay (page 21). Remove the disc and clean it (page 9). Turn off the Parental Lock function (page 43). Use only ISO9660 Level 2 format discs (page 8). Finalize the disc (page 8). Use the correct �lename extension (page 8).
Can�t start playback?
The disc is not centered in the disc bay. The disc is dirty. The selected disc has parental lock and the Parental Lock function is on.
Can�t play MP3/WMA/ JPEG discs? Can�t select MP3 �les?
The disc is not ISO9660 Level 2 format. The disc has not been �nalized. MP3 �les without a �.mp3� or �.MP3� �lename extension are not recognized.

Use the correct �lename extension (page 8). Use Baseline JPEG �les (page 8). Use JPEG �les with the supported ratio (page 8). Use JPEG �les that are less than 5 megabytes (page 8).
Can�t view JPEG �les?
