The manual for the Sansui P-L75 was not one of the more informative turntable manuals around but for $5 it was helpful enough.

7 R / RW Indicates the type of recordable DVD loaded: DVD-R or DVD-RW. 8 PL Lights when a VR mode disc is loaded and the recorder is in Play List mode. 23 Shows the remote control mode (if nothing is displayed, the remote control mode is 1). V Lights when an unfinalized Video mode disc is loaded.
