This manual covers the main equipment features only. While it also includes the procedure for saving and loading from the now long obsolete memory cards it does not mention the how to operate with the optional floppy drive interface so I am still at a loss about how to use this! Note that there is a separate manual covering the MIDI interface and programming via the keyboard, not included in this download. You will also need to get hold of this if you want to use the MIDI interface properly. Basically there is little difference between this manual and the free to download manual for the similar PR60 model.

Usually the distance to a subject where the lens is in focus depends on the zoom magnification. Unless there is a distance more than 1m to the subject, the lens is out of focus at the maximum telephoto setting. Even though not heard while shooting, shutter sound is recorded on the tape. The beep sounds when the power is turned on or off, and at the beginning and end of recording. Also to activate the shutter sound effect ( pg. 28). Instead of a beep, a melody sounds when any operation is performed. It also activates the shutter sound effect ( pg. 28). The tally lamp remains off at all times. The tally lamp comes on to signal the start of recording. This number is necessary when connecting the camcorder to a device such as a computer using the J terminal (JLIP) or PC connector. The numbers range from 01 to 99. Factory setting is 06.
