USE AND CARE
SWITCHES The fan and fight are each controlled bya rocker switch.The light switch has two positions, "ON" AND "OFF". The fan switch has three positions- "HIGH", "LOW" and "OFF'. ('OFF" isthe middle position.) FILTERS H303R and H363R Hoods Only: Remove aluminum filter by turmng filter retainer to one side. (FIG. 13) Filtershould be washed oncea monthina hotdetergent solution. Aluminum filters are dishwasher safe. When instaging filter, make sure that filter slides under retaining tabs on back of fan housing. Turn filter retainer so that arrows on retainer point toward front and back of hood. Clean fi(ter once a month in a hot detergent solution. Filter is dishwasher safe. WARNING ALWAYS DISCONNECT ELECTRIC BEFORE SERVICING RANGE ROOD. POWER |

FAN ASSEMBLY Remove filter. Remove two screws holding motor bracket to range hood, and unplugfan assembly. Becareful notto allow fan assembly to drop when screws are removed. (FIG. 15)

H304R and H364R Hoods Only: The H304R and H364R hoods are equipped with a ductfree filter. Remove filter by turning tilter retainer to one side. (FIG. 13) The ductfrse filter is not washable, and will last upto twelve monthswith normal use. Replace the filter when colored sMe becomes noticeably dirty or discolored, When installing filter, make sure that filter slides under retaining tabs on back of fan housing. MAKE SURE THAT COLORED SIDE OF FILTER IS NEXT TO FAN WHEN FILTER IS INSTALLED. Turn filter retainer so that arrows on retainer point toward front and back of hood. H302R and H362R Hoods Only: Remove filter byturning retainingcliptoward back ofhood.When replacing filter, hook filter into two retaining tabs on rightside of hood and turn retaining clip to secure left side. BE SURE TO POSITION WIRES FROM MOTOR IN RECESS ON FILTER SO THAT WIRES ARE NOT PINCHED UNDER FILTER. {FIG. 14)
CLEANING C_ean your hood with a mild detergent suitable for painted surfaces. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLOTH, STEEL WOOL PADS OR SCOURING POWDERS. Fan assembly may be vacuumed. Fan assembly is lifetime fubdcated, and never needs oiling.

HOW TO AVOID A COMMON RANGE-TOP GREASE FIRE � Your range hood provides a protectivebarrier between the cooking surface and the cabinets. � Keep fan, filters and grease laden surfaces CLEAN according to instructions. � Always turn hood ON when cookingat high heat to keep the cooking area and the hood cooler. � Use high heat settingsonly when necessary. � Never leave cooking surface unattended. Boil-over causes smokingand greasy spillevers that may ignite. � Always use adequate-sizedutensils. � If preparingflaming foods, such as Cherries Jubilee, always turn hoodON to HIGH to preventa high heat situationwhich can cause damage or fire. HOW TO EXTINGUISH A COMMON RANGE-TOP GREASE � Never pick up a flamingpan. If dropped, flamescan spread quickly. � DO NOT USE WATER! A violent steam explosionmay result. Wet dishclothsor towels are also dangerous. � Smotherflames with a close fitting lid, coolde sheet or metal tray. � Flaminggrease can also be extinguished with baking soda or a multi-purposedry chemical extinguisher. � Turooffsurfaceunifs-ifyoucandosowithoutgettingburnod.
