I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. Instructions for Installation
Removing the Old Water Heater
(_ Disconnect the vent pipe from the draft hood where they connect to the water heater. In most installations the vent pipe can be lifted offafter any screw or other attached devices are removed. Dispose of the draft hood. The new water heater has the draft hood which must be used for proper operation. Q a. If you have copper piping to the water necessary.
