� If your favorite toothpaste includes peroxide, baking soda or other bicarbonate (common in whitening toothpastes), it is important that you thoroughly clean your brush head with soap and water after each use.

Preparing for use Attaching the brush head

Place the brush head onto the handle by sliding the ribs on the inside of the nut into the grooves in the top of the handle.

Screw the brush head nut clockwise until it is firmly tightened. If the brush head rattles during use, tighten the nut further. Remove the travel cap from the brush head before you start brushing.

Store excess cord by winding it round the cord storage hooks in the bottom of the charger.
Charging
Charge the Sonicare for at least 24 hours during the first few days of use. We advise you to keep the Sonicare in the plugged-in charger when not in use to maintain a full battery charge.When the battery is empty, it takes at least 24 hours to fully charge the Sonicare.

To charge the Sonicare, place the handle properly in the charger with the on/off button facing towards the front of the charger. Make sure the bottom of the handle sits back securely in the charger, making complete contact.
