Having bought a pre-owned Sony FM stereo tuner through eBay, it came without any manuals. It soon became clear that to get the best from this excellent tuner I needed a decent manual because much of the operation was not intuitive to a newboy to hi fi like me. I managed to download the official Sony multi-lingual manual from Owner-Manuals.com with no problem at all - a really quick and easy service. I'm very glad I did because I found out all the operations of the tuner and was then able to not only set it up quickly but also to get much more from it that poke-and-hope trialling would ever achieve. In my book $4.99 very well spent.

IMPORTANT! Avant d�utiliser le système pour la première fois, effectuez d�abord complètement les opérations préliminaires.
Veille Automatique �conomie d�énergie
Grâce à sa fonction d'économie d'énergie, le système bascule automatiquement en mode veille lorsqu'un CD est terminé depuis 15 minutes et qu'aucune commande n'a été activée.
Réglage de volume et de tonalité 1
Appuyez sur VOLUME 3 / 4 (+/-) pour baisser ou augmenter le volume. � L�affichage indique le niveau de volume VOL et un chiffre MIN 1, 2,....,30, 31 MAX. Appuyez à plusieurs reprises sur DSC pour sélectionner les caractéristiques de tonalité souhaitées: ROCK/ JAZZ/ POP/ CLASSIC. Appuyez sur DBB pour mettre en/hors service la valorisation des basses: � L�affichage indique: DBB. Appuyez sur MUTE de la télécommande pour interrompre immédiatement la reproduction du son. � La lecture se poursuit sans son et l�affichage indique MUTE.

Pour mettre le système en marche
� Appuyez sur STANDBY-ON (ou B sur la télécommande). � Le système se commute sur la dernière source sélectionnée. � Appuyez sur CD, TUNER ou AUX sur la télécommande. � Le système se commute sur la source sélectionnée. � Appuyez sur OPEN�CLOSEç. � Le système se mettra en mode CD.
� Pour réactiver la reproduction du son, on peut: � appuyez à nouveau sur MUTE; � arégler les commandes de volume; � changer de source.
Mettez le système sur le mode Veille
� Appuyez sur STANDBY-ON (ou B sur la télécommande). � Le rétro-éclairage de l'affichage de l'horloge est faible en mode d'attente. � Pour afficher l�heure de l�horlage en mode veille, tenez enfoncé STANDBY-ON (ou B sur la télécommande) pendant plus de 3 secondes. � Le système entre la mode veille normale avec l�affichage d�horloge.
