Demagnetization and cleaning

Power OFF, demagnetization, cleaning play
REC/PB head, erase head. capstan, pinch roller
Demagnetize the REC/PB head by head eraser. Clean the REC/PB head, erase head capstan and pinch roller with a cotton swab immersed in alcohol. In a setting wher the output is maximized, adjust the azimuth adjustment screw so that the Lissajous figure appearing on the oscilloscope screen comes near to a line slanted45° Note : The head should be installed in such a manner that it approaches the tape face.
