This scanned manual is well done in that most all the pages except for one is straight and clear- the way I would do them. One page was upside down but that happens. For the money that is charged on this site you get a pretty good deal. Now with complex repairs, I still prefer to us paper manuals which I have to buy at stereomanuals but the one I got here was much less than the $45 he was charging but this is a larger than normal manual for three different units. I am a picky manual user because I have used original manuals from Sony and Teac.

I used it to repair a NAD 7030, but unfortunately, the 7045 is different !

2. SYSTEM/KEY CIRCUIT (1) AUTO STOP
Auto Stop YES Does the SW25 waveform appear at the IC501 Pin105? YES Do the T-UP Reel Pulses appear at the IC501 Pin49? YES Replace the IC501. NO Do T/UP Reel Pulses appear at the Q514 Base terminal ? YES Replace the T/UP Reel Sensor (RS501). NO Does 5.2V appear at the RS501? YES NO NO Check the Drum Motor signal.
Check the Power Circuit.
(2) The unstable loading of a Cassette tape
The unstable loading of a Cassette tape YES Is 12V applied to the PMC01 Pin8? YES Does the �H� signal appear at the IC501 Pin30 during inserting the CST ? YES Does the �L� signal appear at the IC501 Pin72 during inserting the CST? NO YES Check the Deck Mechanism. Check the IC501 Pins68, 69, 70, 71. Check the CST SW and the peripheral circuitry. NO Is 5.3V applied to the R544 ? YES NO NO Check the Power.
Refer to SMPS 5.3VA troubleshooting.
Caution : Auto stop can occur because Grease or Oil is dried up
