This is a great manual. It was easy to read and very accurate. The size of the manual is small so email is no problem. I highly recommend it. The manual is very hard to find other than this website.
;
Manual was complete and available promptly, since I had lost my original manual. Very good response.

Whilst this is a photo copy, and some of the pages are a little askew, it was all readable and intact. A real bonus finding an old manual for a classic piece of kit that no other site had.
Great stuff.
;

Problem Tuner Noisy radio reception Check that the frequency is correct. Check that the antennas are connected properly. For FM, make sure that the antenna is fully extended and positioned to give the best reception. For AM, make sure that the loop antenna is pointing in the best direction. If the radio signal is weak, an outdoor antenna will usually give better results than the supplied indoor types. Other electrical equipment, such as TVs, fluorescent lamps and motors can cause interference. Try switching off or moving the equipment, or moving the antenna(s). The tuning interval may be incorrect for your country or region. Try switching the tuning interval (page 90). Auto tuning will only detect radio stations with a good signal. For more sensitive tuning, connect an outdoor antenna. Remedy
Auto tuning does not pick up some stations. MP3 playback The disc containing the MP3 tracks wont play. The message UNPLAYABLE MP3 FORMAT appears when you try to start playback. Some tracks seem to be missing from the disc.
 If the disc is a recordable CD, make sure that the disc is finalized. Check that the disc is ISO 9660 compatible. Check that the track(s) are in the MPEG1 Audio Layer 3 format. Check that the sampling rate of the track(s) are 44.1 or 48kHz.
 If a track name does not end in .mp3 or .MP3, this system will not recognize it as an MP3 track. This system only recognizes the first 250 folders and tracks on a disc. If there are more folders/tracks than this, you will not be able to play them. This system is not compatible with multi-session discs. If the disc is multi-session, you will only be able to play tracks recorded onto the first session.
General The remote control doesn't seem to work. Make sure that youre using the remote within its operating range and that there are no obstacles between the remote and the sensor on the main unit. Check that the batteries are not exhausted. Check that the correct function is selected (DVD/CD, etc.), the volume turned up. Check that the MUTE function is not on and that the disc is not paused. Check that the disc is clean and undamaged (page 92) Check that all rear panel connections are correct. If you find dirty or oxidized plugs/terminals, clean them.
No audio, or audio is distorted.
Resetting the system
Static electricity or other external influences may cause malfunctioning of this unit. In this case, unplug the power cord and then plug back in. This will usually reset the unit for proper operation. If this does not correct the problem, please consult your nearest Pioneer service center. Resetting the system returns all menu, picture and password settings to their factory defaults. 1 Switch the system into standby using the front panel standby/on switch. 2 Hold down the front panel 7 button and switch back on. All DVD and audio settings are cleared.
