Base Unit Test Mode Entry To enter manual test mode on the base unit, follow these steps ; Step 1 Action From base unit Idle, press the HOLD and CONF keys at the same time and change the position of the DIAL MODE (TONE n PULSE) switch on the bottom of the unit. Display after action The CHARGE LED will be illuminated and the LINE 1 LED will blink at a slow rate. On entering test mode these will be the start up conditions : � Rx and Tx cannel will be set to the default channel number five. � Tx power will be turned off, Rx power will be turned on � Line one-RF module audio paths will be enabled ; speakerphone audio paths will be disabled.
Base Unit Test Mode Operation Action General For all available active key, no beeps are sounded. OFF key Exit test mode immediately. INTERCOM key Toggle the radio transmit (TX) power. Each press of the key will alternate the state of radio transmitter power. LINE 1 key Toggle speakerphone enable. Each press of the key will alternate the state of speakerphone enable. VOLUME + (Volume Up) key Increase the channel number. Each key press increments the channel number by one. Once the maximum channel number is reached, it wraps around to the lowest numbered channel. The valid range of channels is zero to nine inclusive. VOLUME � (Volume Down) key Decrease the channel number. Each key press decrements the channel number by one. Once the minimum channel number is reached, it wraps around to the highest numbered channel. The valid range of channels is zero to nine inclusive. Power Cycle Test mode is cleared if the power is removed. No visual indication of channel change. No visual indication of channel change. The LINE 1 LED will be illuminated continuously when the speakerphone is enabled. There is no visual indication of TX power on. The CHARGE LED will not be illuminated and the LINE 1 LED will be out. Display after action
