This is one of four manuals I have downloaded recently.
Purchase was very straight forward and the authorising email arrived in about 4 hours.
The quality of the scan is good. Print is clear and square to the page edges.

Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much...
But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings.
I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too!

Program types Use cc>> to have the last selected program type displayed and to choose a new one. You can select any one of the stored types with the preset buttons 1 - 6. Condition: PTY must be active. All of the program types listed below are available. The letters printed in bold are identical to the actual short-time indication in the display. REL MUSC REL TALK PERSNLTY PUBLIC TEST (used for factory testing) PTY 23 to PTY 29 have not been assigned. Checking the program type of the station Press PTY for approximately two secl onds. After the beep tone the display will show the program type offered by the tuned in station.
If you wish to listen to a station with this PTY, press NV to start seek tuning opl eration. If the system is unable to find a station offering the selected program type, the display will show �NO PTY� and a beep tone will be released. The station received before starting seek tuning will be tuned in. You can assign different program types to each preset position. Please refer to the next chapter �Storing program types�.

Press <c or >>. The program type selected last will be displayed briefly. Selecting a program type
Using the cc >> buttons of the rocker switch When PTY is switched on, you can select a program type using buttons << >>. l Press cc or >>; the program type selected last will be displayed for three seconds.

During this period press >> (forwards) or <c (backwards) to select the desired type. Press cc or >> as many times as required.

Using the preset buttons When PTY is switched on, you can use the preset buttons l-6 to select the program types stored at the factory. Press one of the presets 1 - 6. l The selected program type will be displayed for two seconds.

If you wish to listen to a station offering the selected PTY,

press A/V to start seek tuning operation.

lf�fhe system is unable to find a station offering the selected program type, the display will show �NO PTY� and a beep tone will be released. The station received before starting seek tuning will be tuned in. Storing program types One program type was assigned to each of the preset buttons l-6 at the factory. If desired, you can also store other available program types. To do so, make sure that �PTY� lights up in the display. l If necessary, press the PTY button to switch on the function.

Scanning stations with PTY-SCAN Condition: �PTY� must appear in the display. Press the SC button. All received stations offering the selected program type will be scanned. To switch off PTY-SCAN:

Press SC once again.
Emergency Alert System Your RDS tuner is also able to automatically receive any RDS emergeny announcements broadcast during extraordinary circumstances.
Select a program type using buttons cc >> and

hold down the desired preset button (l-6) until you hear a beep. Now the selected program type can be recalled by pressing this preset. For this the PTY function must be active. Notice: As earlier mentioned, these functions are currently only supported by a limited number of RDS stations.
