Venting without a vent hose
Moist air must be able to flow freely from the tumble dryer. The most efficient way of venting the expelled air is to the outside, by means of a vent hose. The vent hose (2.50 m long, 100 mm diameter) is supplied with the appliance. If the hose is not connected to the tumble dryer, the air can be expelled directly into the room in which it is installed, providing the following precautions are taken: The machine must be installed so that there is a distance of at least 30 cm between the vent outlet used and the wall or any other object. Vent outlets that are at less than 30 cm from a wall or another object must be sealed using the covers supplied. At least one outlet must always be open. While the machine is running, make sure that the room is very well ventilated and fluff free.
Venting through a vent hose
The exhaust air can be vented through the vent hose supplied with the appliance, ending either temporarily at an open window, or permanently at a fixed ventilation grille, fitted to an exterior wall or window.
To simplify installation, there is a choice of vent outlets: one at the back and one on each side.
