When you hear the voice of the other party, tell the other party to prepare to receive a document.

If the total document number of the job that you wish to send exceeds the maximum capacity of the ADF of 100 sheets (20 lb), change the setting of the Fax Parameter No. 133 (Job Build) to "On" in advance. (See page 113; the Example below, and Notes 4 and 5.) You can also scan the documents manually one at a time. Ex: (one 150-sheet job is split into 2 scan jobs)

1. If you need to dial a prefix to get an outside line, dial it first, then press PAUSE to enter a pause (represented by a "-") before dialing the full number. Ex: 9 PAUSE 5551234 Or use "Dial Prefix" function to automatically add the prefix (see page 86). 2. If you are using Pulse dialing, and you wish to change to Tone dialing in the middle of dialing, press TONE (represented by a "/"). The dialing mode will be changed from Pulse to Tone after dialing the digit "/". Ex: 9 PAUSE
