I must admit, I was very skeptical... $4.99 for a 74 page service manual. I've seen some very poorly scanned manuals on the Internet, but this one is VERY good quality! Even when zooming into 500%. Great Deal!

capstan fails to run. The drum motor runs only for a few seconds.
NO the capstan error Is drum PG signal given out from IC801. Check drum motor.
pin(45) IC801. pin(3) of AD connector?
YES and all the way up thru to pin(13) of Check AT 5V line. Check line between AD connector Is the voltage of 5V DC applied at NO pin(8) of AE connector? IC801. Check line between AD connector Check line between the AE connector Is drum FG signal given out at NO sent in pin(4) of AE connector? pin(12) of IC801? of IC801. of IC801. Check pin(35) of IC801 and all the Is head switching pulse given out at NO NO way up thru to the current limitter line pin(38) of IC801? of R854~858. Is the voltage pin(3) of AE Check IC801. connector 1.25~2.5V? Check M 12V line. Replace capstan motor.
Is drum PG signal given out at pin(13) of IC801?

Replace drum motor. Replace IC801.
