I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. This is a complicated unit and without the manual I would not have been able to maximize it's potential. Thank you.

Being a user of older radios of many kinds, preferring them over more modern rigs, this manual was invaluable in the programming of my two. I now know for certain what the assorted buttons functions are, and am very grateful to have found this excellent site. Many thanks for your assistance, Tony.

How Do I Adjust the Surround?
Applying Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Effects The DSP mode creates the reverberation devices (elements of sound echoed in various spaces) which determine the feeling of presence. Since DSP uses digital processing, it can produce these effects without spoiling the sound quality of the original music or video source. The DSP mode lets you add the atmosphere of an Arena, Jazz club, Cathedral, Concert hall, Stadium, or Theater from PCM or analog input source. These modes are particularly effective when used with stereo program sources like CD, television, and FM radio. You might enjoy trying the Stadium (1, 2), Arena or Concert hall mode the next time you watch a sporting event or concert. You can adjust the following elements to create a customized environment: The WALL TYPE parameter lets you adjust the brightness of the sonic environment according to your preference. The ROOM SIZE parameter lets you adjust the size of the sonic environment according to your preference. The EFFECT level lets you adjust the amount of DSP presence in the sonic environment according to your preference.
Using PowerTouch

The DSP effect cannot be applied when the input is a 96 k fs PCM signal.
