Adjusting the bass and treble
To help you get the sound you want you can increase or reduce the bass and treble. � Default setting: BASS+1 (EV51DVD) BASS+2 (EV21DVD) 1 Press SOUND MODE repeatedly to select BASS or TREBLE. You can also use the / (cursor left/right) buttons on the remote to select a menu item after you�ve pressed SOUND MODE. 2 Use / (remote) or 4/1 and ¡/¢ (front panel) to adjust the sound. The bass and treble can be adjusted from -4 to +4. 3 Press ENTER.
Creating wider stereo sound
EV21DVD model only The Stereo Wide feature makes the stereo spread appear wider than it really is�useful when the speakers are close together. 1 Press SOUND MODE repeatedly to select ST-W ON or ST-W OFF. You can also use the / (cursor left/right) buttons on the remote to select a menu item after you�ve pressed SOUND MODE. 2 Use / (remote) or 4/1 and ¡/¢ (front panel) to select ST-W ON or OFF. 3 Press ENTER.

EV21DVD model only To help you get the sound you want you can change the left/right balance. 1 Press SOUND MODE repeatedly to select CENTER, LEFT or RIGHT. You can also use the / (cursor left/right) buttons on the remote to select CENTER, LEFT or RIGHT after you�ve pressed SOUND MODE. 2 Use / (remote) or 4/1 and ¡/¢ (front panel) to adjust the balance. The balance can be adjusted from Left 10 to Right 10. 3 Press ENTER.
Saving your sound preferences
EV21DVD model only If you have certain preferences for the bass, treble and stereo-wide controls, you can store these as a preset for easy recall. 1 Make sure the stereo-wide and tone controls are the way you want them, then press and hold ENTER for three seconds. USER 1 or USER 2 will blink in the display. 2 Use / (remote) or 4/1 and ¡/¢ (front panel) to select USER 1 or USER 2. 3 Press ENTER.
